Mesh Systems’ CEO, Richard Baxter, Presents Top Trends in M2M Communications at Sensor Expo 2011

Mesh Systems’ president and CEO, Richard Baxter, presented the top trends in M2M communications at Sensor Expo 2011 in Chicago. With 4,000 engineering professionals in attendance, this is North America’s largest industry show focused exclusively on sensors and sensor integrated systems.

In addition to emerging industry trends, Baxter also spoke to Sensor Expo attendees about Mesh Systems’ unique M2M technology platform-as-a-service (PaaS) model: MeshVista. It is a comprehensive and unified wireless machine-to-machine (M2M) solution which comprises software applications, wireless network connectivity, embedded devices and data management.

He discussed the environmental, financial and technical benefits of M2M technology as well as in-demand applications including consumables monitoring, energy generation and storage, environmental monitoring, healthcare and assisted living, metering and sub-metering, oil and gas well telematics, retail store monitoring, sanitary compliance, security, smart energy, tank and pipeline, and water and wastewater management.

With 25 years of experience Baxter is an industry-recognized expert in machine-to-machine communications, sensors and embedded networking. He holds 9 U.S. patents and is a graduate of Purdue University, where he received a B.S.E.E. Prior to forming Mesh Systems in 2005, he founded Pensar Corporation, a diversified electronics design and manufacturing services company. At Pensar, he architected and managed the company’s technology strategy, intellectual property portfolio, and engineering workforce.
